The Department of Energy (DOE) announced today that it is making available $4 billion in financing for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. DOE Secretary Ernest Moniz noted that the funding is part of the President’s Climate Action Plan. The DOE Loan Program Office generated controversy in the past for funding projects such as Solyndra.
